Recently I took one of those silly quiz/tests people share on Facebook; this one purported to tell me when my "Happiest Day" of the rest of this year would be.
"August 21st is going to be your day! You won’t be able to believe your luck and will be flooded with good news! You should look forward to this because your life will change for the better!"
As I wrote at the time...who knows, it COULD happen....I just want to safely make it to my 4th anniversary in Houston, the 3rd week of September, and go from there...
As I have shared in recent months, while life has not been easy my spirits have been lifted by way of visions in the sky...
While most of Houston sees rainbows... I see Smiley Faces, hee, hee!
Ever Seen the Smile of God? and A Word of Warning, Found: 200 Words of Mystery
Caught on Camera 4 times and seen several others times, but the window blew away the image before I could focus my cell phone on them.
Today was a bit different...
When God wants to impress upon us mere mortals His Majesty and Beauty, He often uses nature in an awesome way to do so.
In Texas this often comes in the form of thunderstorms that are mostly all talk and no show.
By this I mean awesome noise and little rain.
This morning the sky got cloudy, darkly so, and then the noise began over where I work on the border of Bellaire and Houston...Powerful and even unusually powerful booms of thunder , and some rain, occurred for an hour before moving to another part of town.
The way some sounded was unusual to me, even after nearly 4 years here, and the store power was almost knocked out by one such boom.
Yes, Lord, we know...You Bad, uh, huh, You Bad. :-D
I should have known...hee, hee!
I left for work early and as I got off the bus at Meyerland Plaza, to run an errand, I glanced at the gathering clouds and saw this.
By the time I got my cell camera focused on the image the left eye was closing and the smile (just under the phone line) was starting to blur a little.
I made it to work before the storm and the storm was long gone by the time I got off work at 7pm
The clouds were still around though and as I left the store and went to the bus stop I saw another face that faded away too quickly.
As I got off the bus at Meyerland again I glanced up at the sky and saw another one.
This one stuck around long enough and you can see eyes (with eyebrows), nose and mouth.
I am hanging in there and despite getting another flat on my bike, Tuesday, and not being able to get it fixed for a couple of weeks I will make my way to and from work, on foot if need be.
Not even a new, small, bed bug invasion can keep my spirits, or that of my cats, down.
I trust that great days are ahead of me and positive things will continue to happen personally and creatively as they always have over the years, just in new and better ways that I can't imagine.
Great photos of the clouds. Hang in there, I do believe things will improve.
