And now it's the next morning, and those of us in the NORTH of Harris County are getting pounded by all this stuff. A different storm? Continuation of all that from the weekend and Monday night? I'm not sure, but I (not a meteorologist, by any means!) think these are successive impulses along the southern jet stream that is coming at us from the Pacific Ocean off the southern coast of Mexico. Yes, that's a long, long way, but that's what I've seen on weather report after weather report for about a month now! When will it end? Only God knows. In the meantime, we all have to be like Kiril and be smart and safe ... and NEVER go out in flooded areas. Who really knows what lurks in that churning, murky stuff?

Kiril; Glad you and the cats are safe; we know the toll flooding takes on communities and it's citizens and the wildlife. ♥ Laura

Your descriptions are always so interesting, Kiril! Very, very interesting. I almost feel as if I closely witnessed what you lived through. I am just glad you are fine! I agree about needing to buy heavier-duty rain gear to be able to better withstand the rain conditions. In the meantime, thanks for the great reporting!!
