In recent days our store was doing a promotion and associates volunteered to don the costume of the Olaf character in Frozen and go around the store making friends with the kiddies and posing for selfies.
One day, as I manned the self check-out lanes one of our female associates came by in the costume and the urge to have a little fun came over me....
Business being extremely slow I tossed an associate my cell and asked her to take a quick photo....
So, what does she do? She sees me dancing with Olaf and decides to make a one minute video...and I posted it on my Facebook since I apparently could not save it to an email.
Forget Fred & Ginger...Get a load of Kiril & Olaf !!
Yesterday, watching the video again, I was inspired to poetic creativity....
Boogie Woogie Walmart Cashier by Kiril "The Mad Houstonian" Kundurazieff
With apologies to Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, The Andrews Sisters and their song writers...
He's a Middle-aged Walmart Associate from out Houston way.
He has a fun-filled style that no one else can display.
He's a top man as a cashier.
When to his lane you come up he's friendly and efficient at his craft.
He makes you laugh and feel like a King or Queen.
He's the Boogie Woogie Walmart Cashier of the Houston Scene.....
I'm dancin' in a Walmart.
Just dancin' in a Walmart.
What a glorious feelin',
I'm happy as sin.
I'm ringing up customers.
So long is my line.
Everyone with a full cart
And I'm ready to shine.
Let rollbacks be
All over the place.
Come on with your haul,
I've a smile on my face.
I greet all in my lane
With a humorous refrain.
Dancin' in a Walmart...
Cashierin' in a Walmart...
Making people laugh and smile again and again...
I'm dancin' and jokin' in a Houston Walmart...
Life is not easy for me, these days, a struggling writer and blogger living paycheck to paycheck, and hasn't been for a while (I went to food pantries for the first time last week and this), but that is no excuse not to enjoy life to the fullest as best I am able.
I took one of those silly online quiz-things the other day...
It said that August 21st, 2016 would be my happiest day of the year.
"This is going to be your day! You won’t be able to believe your luck and will be flooded with good news! You should look forward to this because your life will change for the better!"
Who knows, it COULD happen....I just want to safely make it to my 4th anniversary in Houston, the 3rd week of September, and go from there... :-D
