At long last we had a huge storm come through Houston for the first time since I moved here.
Thunder, lightening, flooded streets, sidewalks, yards, and bayous.
I want to apologize to Gene Kelly and the guy who wrote the song he danced to.
Prancin' in the Rain
I'm prancin’ in the rain
Just prancin’ in the rain
What a wondrous feelin'
I'm happy as sin
I'm laughing at clouds
So dark up above
Joy’s in my heart
And I'm ready to create
Let the clouds open up
All over this place
I’ve got a future to obtain
I've a smile on my face
As I walk down the street
To me life is so neat
Just prancin’,
Prancin’ in the rain
Prancin’ in the rain
La-dee-da-dee da
La-dee-da-dee-da
I'm happy as sin!
I'm laughin' and prancin’ in the rain!
I'm prancin’ in the rain...
Why am I smiling?
To what joy does it call?
Why does my future
Seem sunny despite it all?
Why do I get up
Each morning and start
Happy and fired up
With joy in my heart?
Why does my writing
Make me work so contentedly?
Because I am living
A life that is my destiny.
Prancin’ in the rain
La-dee-da-dee da
La-dee-da-dee-da
I'm happy as sin!
I'm laughin' and prancin' in the rain!

Who took the photos for you? I love 'em!!

Marilyn, the 3rd picture is the only one that was taken by another person.
When the heavy rain finally came there were a pair of Hispanic dudes standing in the entrance to the store at the gas station.
I asked one to take a pic of me in the hopes of getting the shot you see, of me off the ground.
It took 3 attempts. :-D
As for the other 3 I have a tiny tripod in my camera case, and if I can find a flat spot, or something to have the legs of the pod grip...I will have 10 second to take a self portrait. :-D
The 2nd pic? I got lucky with the flag waving. I set the camera so the flag would appear, but had no idea if I would end up blocking it, or the wind would stop blowing. :-D
