Like many of my fellow Texans, Republicans and Conservatives, I woke up this morning just a tad on the cranky side. :-D
Then I listened to Glenn Beck's opening monologue, on this morning's radio show (Watch here as long as link will last), and later in the day my Texas friend, Marilynn Smith, sent me a passage from the Bible, and that all got me to thinking.
As an American, living in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave, the greatest nation on the face of the Earth, I am grateful for all I’ve had, for all I now have and for all I shall have.
The election results of last night disturb and trouble me, but I don’t believe America is defeated!
I am recently relocated to Houston, a creative writer and 10 year blogger, with 17 yrs. Retail experience among other work on my resume, and currently unemployed, but I do not believe there is any difficulty I cannot overcome!
There is no difficulty Americans who believe in freedom, the words of the Founders, the constitution, capitalism and the Free Enterprise System, cannot overcome!
If things fall apart Americans will pick up the pieces and rebuild, no overbearing, intrusive, Govt. needed.
The rough is only mental, if conservatives think victory, and continue to work toward it, it will come in God’s own time.
Think different! Be bold and mighty forces will come to our aid!
I believe that we, the 48%, can successfully handle all challenges that come our way. We must all, individually and as that 48% who voted for Romney/Ryan and for Love of Country, NOT revenge, take a deep breath and bite off more than we can chew.
Today, the day after, is a glorious day!
It’s wonderful to be alive!
The Mad Houstonian
I want to leave you with something to think about.
Thessalonians 1 Chapter 5 Verses 14 – 22:
“Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. See that no-one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.”

I am glad that you can see a light at the end of the tunnel despite the election results not being what you had hoped for.
You have a very good disposition about overcoming chalenges!
