I have long had a peculiar sense of humor.
I think it first reared its head in Middle School, and most definityly in High School.
Before that the only things I remeber doing, in elementary school, that were funny, were funny not to me, but to others, because they were actions not set in motion by any sense of humor on my part.
Among other things I once caught a football, ran head first into the goal posts, and didn't stop running until I reached the nurses office in tears, and with an emerging black eye. :-D
In 8th, 9th, or 10th grade I discovered the Dr. Demento Radio Show, as did several friends, and fellow High school orchestra members, and my sense of humor was influenced by listening to him, and watching the Three Stooges, Groucho Marx, Abbott & Costello, and Laurel & Hardy, on TV.
One incident I remember, from my teen years, occurred when I was 16, and I don't think my sisters have ever fully forgiven me for it. :-D
The Halloween of 1976 they needed an escort to walk them a mile to a Girl Scout evening party.
I dressed up in one of our Mom's dresses, wig, and high heels, and stuffed a bra with the LA Times enough to make Dolly Parton blush, and wore a sash that read "Miss America 1976" (I have a photo somehwere). :-D
I got lots of wolf whistles, and propositions, as we stopped traffice several times, and when we visited our friends at the local drive thru dairy, the captive audience was treated to them putting their arms around my shoulders in suggestive ways. :-D
When we arrived at the party the Den Mother who opened the door just about had a heart attack. :-D
Another shtick of mine was a very peuliar way of walking that embarrassed my sisters no end, as well. :-D
Oh, and they have no idea how much fun I had on my "Tampon Runs" for them, in their teen years. :-D

In later years I took my sense of humor to my bookstore, and other jobs, even taking a photo of me hard at work. :-D
I am grateful for having this sense of humor as it has helped me in good times and bad and when I went online, and later became a blogger, I found new ways to share it in my writing and photography, on 4 different blogs.

That's funny! Kiril in drag! Had no idea you were that kind of fella :P
Don't know much about Dr. Demento, but I do know that is the hero of one of my all-time faves - Weird Al Yancovic.

I was listening to Al when he was just becoming "Weird", in the 70's, as a regular part of the Dr. Demento Show. :-D
It was the Doc who discovered him, and pushed him on to greatness. :-D
