It's been an interesting day in America, today. Many people had chicken on the brain. They showed that they gave a cluck for the cause of free speech, tolerance, diversity, decency, and old fashioned christian family values. :-D
Mike Huckabee called, last week, for this day because the CEO of the popular restaurant chain was attacked for expressing his personal values, affirming his view that, as he wrote, "the Biblical view of marriage should be upheld. The Cathy family, led by Chick Fil-A founder Truett Cathy, are a wonderful Christian family who are committed to operating the company with Biblical principles and whose story is the true American success story."

I started the day by, um, getting Right With the Lord, hee, hee!
By eating at the Santa Ana location, at MacArthur & Bristol, just a couple of blocks from ritzy South Coast Plaza Mall.
I arrived at 1015am, after the morning crowd had dissipated, but before the Noon crowd began to show.
As you can see, above, when they showed up, beginning about 1115, they showed in force. :-D
A nice lady, there for take out for herself and her kids, took the photo of me, and I returned the favor by using her camera for a shot of her in my seat.
It didn't take long for the line to be out the door and well into the parking lot.
When I left, at 1215, this was the scene outside. The Bristol St. entrance to the drive thru, on the west side, had a long line of cars snaking south down the street for a block, competing in length with the normal line at the In N Out across the street! :-D

When I left, I told the people in the outdoor lines that the place had run out of chicken and was reduced to using song birds instead...though one lady in a car looked at me in disbelief before she realized I was pulling her leg, most people seemed boisterously all for it. They were hungry, and wanted a quality sandwich and fries for lunch, whatever the bird meat. :-D
