If I'd had any sense, and proper guidance, I would have gone into writing, and journalism, activities, programs, and studies, in High School, and College, instead of what I did. ;-D
Supposedly I was "building a solid foundation BEFORE looking into re-training, if needed".
The Class was twice a week, 3 hours a day, thru Nov. 8th, and was a bare bones Meet & Greet between students, and Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
I've also bought What Color is Your Parachute 2011, the Job-Hunter's Survival Guide, and How to find a job on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and other Social Networks.
And the supposedly intelligent voters of the state, most of whom may have no memory of what he did to ruin the state in the 70's, in their dubious wisdom, re-elected Jerry Brown as Guv. ;-D
I have no references from work, because, though I interacted with, and liked, many of my co-workers, socializing away from work was never really an option, and they don't allow the supervisors to give recommendations, so I have to rely on a Sister, and a friend of hers I know (Both are Sheriffs Deputies), for references when applying for future jobs.
I know that some people would have had some sort of job, or income production, within two weeks of leaving their last job, rather than take Unemployment.
