God that was brilliant, both the speech, and the video tribute! How can America fight for freedom when so many enemies of freedom are in DC? As one person commented..."Can you imagine the speech Obama would have given in the same circumstances ? I am so proud of George Bush, and so embarrassed by Barack Obama." A, Damn, men! 2. This fight should have been over years ago, but is far from over now. Why? The baby in Lileks video will soon be old enough to join the military in a few years. Will the babies of 2001 STILL be fighting this battle in the years to come? I will never forget. I will never forgive. I've done too damn much book reading, article and website, reading, and watching of videos, by reputable authors, and researchers, who have more than done their homework, on the threat from "The Religion of Peace", the last 9 years. To all those who defend it, yet prefer not to speak out against the terrorists, and the hate, and violence, against women, those who wish to leave the faith, non-muslims, America, and Western Civilization, I ask, if the faith is so wonderful, and living under all that it preaches, and it's laws, is so great..why do you prefer to live elsewhere? Now I read of a Saudi Diplomat asking for US Asylum, because the fact he is Gay, and befriended a Jewish woman, on top of that, has cost him his job, and will cost him his life, if he returns to Saudi Arabia, as the Saudis insist he do. Open your eyes, people, read, watch, and learn. I'm just a non-church going Conservative, and a Tea (Caffeine Free, please! Sorry, but I haven't even touched Coffee in, I think, 20 years, um, hee, hee!) Partier, and I'm pissed. 3. We have the brightest engineers and architects, the best-equipped builders and manufacturers, the most generous private entrepreneurs and philanthropists. And yet America has failed to build a single, soaring monument that matches the heroism, greatness, sacrifice, and spirit of freedom that a 9/11 memorial should represent..... Where is the urgency, dedication, speed, strength, and clarity to show them how we roll? If “never forget” is our post-9/11 mantra, why the hell is it taking so long to build fields and halls and museums of remembrance unsullied by political correctness and anti-American pandering? I agree with Michelle Malkin 100% - This IS a National Disgrace! If a Single Picture Can Speak a Thousand Words...Then those in her essay speak many, many volumes. About that proposed Mosque at Ground Zero... From World Net Daily: Muslim groups are proposing a 13-story $100 million mosque in the most prominent spot in America – the heart of downtown New York City near the World Trade Center site. Is this mosque a sign of America's tolerance, or is it a sign of Muslim conquest? The past (630AD to the Present Day) may hold answers.... On Sept. 11, 2001, Muslim terrorists attacked the most prominent spot in America, the World Trade Center. In less than 10 years, the number of mosques in New York City has skyrocketed to over 140. In light of history, reasonable citizens have a right to question if the mosque proposed at Ground Zero is a sign of America's tolerance, or a sign of Muslim conquest? 6. 8/13 - Rebuild St. Nicholas CHURCH at Ground Zero, not a mosque!
NOTE FROM KIRIL - 745PM: My Father was Eastern Orthodox, born in Macedonia (Formerly part of Yugoslavia), in 1923, but I think he'd have agreed with me, that this project should not be declared a dead issue as seems to have happened (8/18).
