Ben Dahoe is the man behind a wonderful blog on life, here, in Santa Ana, called Life at the Santiago Street Lofts, and for 2 years, when time permits, he posts stories that are well worth reading.
Lots of developement is slated for his part of town, and he has written a great posts about his Hopes, and Fears.
While his fears are many, one thing stands out by the end of the piece:
"I'm hopeful in that Santa Ana will some day become a true destination city; where new circulation is brought to our streets–where places like Downtown, The Fiesta Marketplace, 4th Street, and the Station District (including the train depot) are ventured to by people all over Southern California."
Read: Hopes and Fears.
Hopefully Ben will be able to pick up his game, and post more frequently! ;-D
I've lived here, myself, 2 years longer than he has, and he has managed to explore the city much more than I have had the chance to.
Perusing his blog, for the first time in a while, he inspires me to get out more, and explore not just Santa Ana, but other places in the County, too.
Whether it's with my Camera, new camcorder, or just a notebook, and pen, I am going to try to get out, and about, and blog about what I find.

TU4 heads up on blog.
Meeeee-yow to Nikita.
