Consider the opening line "I WANT TO WRITE ABOUT", and, taking it from there, write something in 10 minutes.
A stream of consciousness thing, I guess.
This was a prompt suggested in a writing group I belonged to, briefly, in 2003. ;-D
So, this is what I wrote, just off the top of my head:
I WANT TO WRITE ABOUT
NATURE
I want to write about 3 Mallard Ducks, a dead rabbit, and 3 crows.
I want to write about what they might all be doing along a lonely road, near the Bay, one fine May morning.
I want to know what the ducks did or saw that had them so agitated, and how the poor bunny died, and if the crows just had the munchies or were passing through, or did something sinister.
I want to write about why the table and beverage container were alone around the bend.
I want to write about the community of flora and fauna the animals call home and about the interrelationships between all of nature's residents of this vibrant locale.
I want to write about the duck pond I saw and why the 3 ducks would wander so far away from home.
I want to write about it all.
God, don't you just love my overactive, twisted, imagination? :-D
My next post gives the full details behind what prompted this little flight of fancy. ;-D
