To Twit, or NOT to Twit, THAT is the question!
Or is that...
To Tweet, or NOT to Tweet, is THAT the question?
I recently took the plunge. ;-D
Twitter asks one question, "What are you doing?" Answers must be under 140 characters in length and can be sent via mobile texting, instant message, or the web.
I like the challenge of that! ;-D
It's easy to sit here, and blog up a storm all day, but try to express a coherent thought about something you have seen, done, heard, or read, or are planning to Do, or are thinking, in a 140 characters, including spaces...
THAT is not as easy as it sounds. ;-D
Anyway, I decided that since I was going to watch the Barack Obama Event at the Lincoln Memorial, this afternoon, that I'd share my thoughts via Twitter. (I had so much fun I might try it again on Inauguration Day) ;-D
I watched the We Are One, The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial, on HBO so you didn't have to, and here's my report, as it appeared on Twitter.
Getting chills watching Obama walk down the steps of Lincoln Memorial, at his Shindig being shown on HBO. A powerful moment.
Watching the powerful intro by Denzel at the Obama Shindig. Well spoken.
Watching the cool replay of famous FDR & JFK lines as MLK's son gives a thoughtful speech at the Obama Shindig. This thing is nice so far.
"Lean On" at the Obama Shindig...I love a good song, sung well, and this event promises to have many such moments.
Hanks speaks Lincoln, & abt Lincoln, 2 @ Obama Shindig. Powerful words, powerfully spoken by a man I'm supposed to be mad at this weekend.
Love the Orchestra at the Obama Shindig!!!
Joe Biden doesn't mess up his little speech at the Obama Shindig. It's a miracle! Damn! Ah, well, maybe later in the week, hee, hee!
I wanted to cry damn it! The singers & choir were cool, but I was in tears as the Anderson video played... then they stopped! Wrong choice!!
Love the Choirs at the Obama Shindig!
Gettin 2gether & feelin alright @ Obama Shindig. I know, I know, Lots of folks don't feel right about The One, but ya gotta love the song!
Tiger honors Mil in moving, intro to Naval Academy Glee Club. Love that Glee Club, but Lady in Red could shatter glass with the high notes!
J Black & R Dawson do a nice Environmental Heritage intro to Garth Brooks singing "Bye Bye". Where's my Whiskey? Very fun! ;-D
Now Garth is encouraging everyone to "Shout!" More fun at the Obama Shindig. ;-D
Garth, and the group on stage with him, are having a blast, and so is the audience on the mall. ;-D
Awww, Garth, don't go! Ok, Ok, I know... the show must go on. ;-D
Judd & Whittaker on Artists, & their role in America. Usher, & Shakira do fine W/ Stevie Wonder doin his thing. A mighty fine 3some!
Sam Jackson quotes Lincoln, Rosa Parks, JFK, MLK, in a fine Civil Rights themed speech introducing U2 singing "In the Name of Love. Nice.
OK, OK, I surrender...U2 is a cool band, and I can finally say I've heard them sing something I like, at the Obama Shindig. ;-D
Now why did U2 have to go and ruin my mood by tossing in a mention of "The Palestinians", and thus getting all political? There was no need.
Challenger the Bald Eagle & Mr. Lincoln the Bald Eagle at the Obama Shindig! Very, very cool!
The One takes Stage. Obama speaks! Moving, Powerful, Stirring. Yes I thought so, so sue me! BHO I hope you prove me wrong, & serve us well.
Pete Seeger sings This Land is Your Land, This land is Our Land, This Land Was Made 4 you & Me, in a moving moment at the Obama Shindig.
Beyonce gives a stiring rendition of America the Beautiful, and the crowds assembled join in, thus ending the Shindig in fine style.
All this singing, and speechifying has made me hungry, and I just realized I've had no breakfast! See y'all later! ;-D
