1. For the love of Cats, in New York City last month.
As part of I Love NYC Pets Month the Cat rescue organization KittyKind held the city's first ever adoption event for cats with neurological and physical disabilities.
They also educated pet lovers about what it takes to care for these furry friends.
I particularly love the page, on the KittyKind Website, that is called "What Do I Do If I find A Cat?"
2. Did you know that October 17th is National Feral Cat Day in the United States?
Here's a great Wikipedia Article on Feral Cats.
3. Did you know that Feb. 17 is World Cat Day and that Feb. 22 is the Day of the Cat/Cat Day in Japan?
The website What Japan Thinks has a great post, including results of a survey, in celebration of the day. ;-D
I learned about World Cat Day from a story about the President of Poland being nominated for Cat Person of the Year in his country, but can't find much in the way more more info, or even an "Official" Website. ;-D
