Welcome to Meowsings of an Opinionated Pussycat!
Here I am relaxing while Daddy is sitting at the kitchen table watching this thing Humans call a "Primary" play out on TV.
If it looks like my eyes are glazing over in boredom, I assure you that's only an effect of the flash from the camera he used to take my picture. ;-D
I've spent the evening surfing the net while Daddy does what people do on nights such as this...sit and stare at the TV all night long, alternately chewing their finger nails and hiding their head in their hands, or jumping up and down, whooping and hollering in ecstasy.
If you ask me this is as weird as when a pack of Dogs frantically run up and down the street torn between pissing on the tree on the left side, or the fire hydrant on the right side...but that's just me. ;-D
Anyway, since I can't watch the Animal Channel, I thought I'd do a round-up.
1. The Carnival of the Cats has a new home!
Laurence Simon, its guiding light, has passed the reigns on to others.
All of us will be forever grateful to the "King of the Cat Bloggers" for all he has done.
As of January, 2008 the Carnival of the Cats has come to live at The Cat Blogosphere.
The Carnival of the Cats is run entirely by volunteers. The people who are the weekly Carnival Hucksters are volunteers. The folks who maintain this site are volunteers. As you can see, there’s no advertising, so no one is making any money off it. We do it because it’s fun and we love cats. Join us weekly to have fun with cats.
As always, The domain name www.carnivalofthecats.com will be the way to the Home of the Carnival, and the Carnival will continue for all bloggers who post about Cats.
Robyn (aka Mom Robyn) and ML (aka Mommie ML) have a huge Cat Tree to manage, but I am confident in their ability to take the Carnival into a new era (Thanks should go to those who helped them move in...Bonnie and Victor’s Mom Jen, and Karen C of Grr, Midnight and Cocoa.).
Carnival #199 can be enjoyed over at The Cat Blogosphere, and I was honored to be included in the roster.. ;-D
Speaking of which: Guess who will be hosting Carnival of the Cats #211 on March 30th? ;-D
I haven't been THIS excited since the day Daddy introduced me to Catnip!
I have been honored to have been linked to by the Carnival, and a long time fan so, with the support of Daddy, I decided it was time that I step forward in its time of need, and give something back by joining the ranks of the Carnival Hucksters. ;-D
2. Bad Kitties Festival of Chaos #26 is up over at Sleeping Mommy:
The Crazy Cat Lady usually "tries to keep the crazy-cat lady side of my life under control or at least somewhat in the background", but seems to have failed, hee, hee. ;-D
This week’s optional theme was Gotcha Day stories, and boy are there some great ones, and many great pictures to entertain you, too!
Did somebody say chaos? Chaos is the status quo around here.
3. Weekend CatBlogging #135 is up over at A Byootaful Life.
4. The Modulator has Friday Ark #172 where all the Animal Kingdom comes together to strut its stuff, and you can find links to Carnivals celebrating creatures of all sorts.
5. The Pet Prayer and Praise Blog is for any pet prayer requests, praises or remembrances.
Each Sunday a new list is started. If you need a special request added to the list, please leave it in the comments anytime.
I'm going to end by returning to the folks at the Carnival:
The Cat is in the Bag over at The House of the (Mostly) Black Cats. ;-D
Over at Mary Lynn's one little kitten is subject to temptations. ;-D
Bonnie and Victor celebrate Christmas!
Over at Grr, Midnight and Cocoa's place everyone poses for a festive Holiday picture!
Well, that's all for today!
Back at Daddy's "Primary" it looks like it's all over but the Hissing and the Scratching so I'm gonna go take a nap.
Night everyone! ;-D
***NOTE***
Hi, it's The Mad Macedonian!
I promised Nikita that I'd take a photo of him napping, an hour after he finished his post, then publish the post for him.
Sometimes he can be so funny.
While it appears he's half awake, here, he's actually in mid-dream, counting mice no doubt. ;-D
Silly Cat! ;-D
***END NOTE***

Nice photos Nikita - you're looking very relaxed.
We'd rather watch animals on TV than humans any night of the week too.
