Karen Jo, of Kitty Limericks, is a talented writer whose blog showcases her work.
Her place is "A celebration of the kitties (and their friends) of the CatBlogosphere in verse."
Judging from some recent subjects she's not averse to waxing poetic about Dogs, too. ;-D
I awoke this morning to discover that I am famous.
She chose me as her subject for today's Limerick!
This honor is a cool way to begin the new year, and provides inspiration for me to pick up the pace in my blogging as the new year gets under way.
For those who are new to this blog let me introduce myself, oh and reveal a secret. ;-D
I have big plans for 2008, and just to give you an idea check out the first appearance of the MOP (Meowsings of an Opinionated Pussycat)!
Anyway, I thought I'd use this opportunity to mention something interesting that will be occurring later in the month, thus giving everyone some food for thought in their own blogging. ;-D
Did you know that January 22nd is "Ask Your Cat a Question Day?"
Me neither.
Well, not before last year. ;-D
Daddy submitted some questions, and helpfully provided all the paper he thought I would need to answer them.
1. What does "Living the Purrfect Life" mean to you?
2. What do you do all day besides sleep?
3. What do you dream when sleeping?
4. Is Catnip overrated?
It's been 10 months since he submitted the questions.
I STILL plead the 5th. ;-D
Welcome to Nikita's Place, check out my posts, and my blogrolls under my photo in the sidebar!
I'm purrrfectly delighted to have you visit! ;-D

I am so glad that you liked your limerick, Nikita. Thank you so much for the link and the introduction.

Being immortalized in verse is especially cool when Karen Jo is doing the immortalizing.
Thanks for joining Carnival of The Cats this week!

Gosh your own limerick! I'm very impressed.
I must say though, I don't think waking my humans up by sliding a piece of paper under their door would work at our house.
I find that throwing myself against the door, while meowing out at the top of my lungs, does the job quite nicely and elicits the desired response.
About #2, surely your human doesn't think you sleep ALL day?
That's insulting. Doesn't he realize what a huge responsibility it is to run an entire household?
Just who does he think takes care of everything while he's off doing whatever it is humans do?!
I think, after 10 months, you need to set him straight Nikita, not only for your own self-worth, but for the rest of us as well!

Wow! Visitors!
Welcome, Welcome, Welcome! ;-D
As for what George writes:
"throwing myself against the door"??
OUCH! I would think ones body could only take so much of that. ;-D
No, Daddy knows I don't sleep all day, he was just teasing me. ;-D
He relies on me to guard the premises while he's gone, among other things. ;-D
"Taking the 5th" is my way to tease him back. ;-D
