A whole damn week as a catch-all, for all Companion Animals, no doubt covering everything from Ants to Zebras?

Fortunately there is someone working hard to rectify an indefensible oversight of the Holiday Naming Committee....

Being a Cat, myself, I agree with that 100%!

Well, not everybody, as can be seen by the fact that many of us have Companions who allow us to join them in expressing ourselves in writing, and in pictures, on their blogs, but he does have a point.

So what does this attitude lead him to do?
To call for "an official Cat Holiday. Three-day weekend for everybody…Except dogs. My cattitude is: You only have 9 lives to live, live ‘em big!"
Show how much you appreciate your Feline Companion(s) and join his Crusade to make Cat Day a national holiday, by writing a nice letter to your Congressional Representative. [ Use the form provided, write one of your own or, better yet, let your FC write one for you to mail. ;-D ]
