I bet Laguna Beach doesn't get debated, discussed, defended and dissed like THIS. ;-D
Not being an expert on life in this fair city...yet, I DO know that it DOES have its good points. ;-D
A story, at Life at the Santiago Street Lofts, about the attempt of a citizen to get responsible public servants to act responsibly (By getting said citizen connected to the right people to squawk at, for starters!) has led to an extensive, and very lively, debate in the comments of a related post over at Orange Juice.
Speaking of messes, trouble with city agencies, and spirited public debate in blog comments:
A year ago OJ did a story about corruption in the Santa Ana Unified School District that is an eye-opener in more than just the content of the post.
In all my years of reading blogs I have rarely seen even a 3rd of this number of comments on a story.
As of today there are 1746 comments to this particular story, and as Art Pedroza writes:
Even reading just a few of the comments will amaze you.
